What is Gobar Gas? Benefits, Uses & Production Process

Technology

Gobar Gas also known as biogas from cow dung, is generated when organic waste decomposes in the absence of oxygen inside a biogas plant. This process produces methane-rich gas that can be used for cooking, heating, lighting, and even electricity generation. The production process begins with collecting cow dung and placing it in a sealed digester where microorganisms break it down. This anaerobic digestion releases biogas, mainly composed of methane and carbon dioxide, which is then purified for use.
